friday favorites #17

This week has been quite the emotional rollercoaster in our household. We had family in town over the weekend for Lewis's baptism, and one by one they left for the airport between Sunday and early Tuesday morning. That left me home alone for the very first time with three kids on Tuesday. We survived, and I even got everyone down for a nap at the same time! Mom win!

I would say the toughest part of the week has been getting everyone out of the house to get to doctor appointments. I'm 2 weeks out from my C-section, which means I am cleared to drive, but shouldn't really be lifting anything heavier than 10 pounds. Unfortunately, I still have to get the older kids in and out of their carseats, leaving me tired and sore by the time we get home. I will say that packing everything the night before has been a lifesaver for getting out of the house on time, though!

Anyway, I'm happy to say we made it to Friday, and having Justin home to help with the kids this weekend will be a huge relief. So in honor of making it through the week, I'm sharing what's making me smile!

Friday Favorites

1. Daytona Beach with family

We spent Monday morning strolling the boardwalk overlooking Daytona Beach. I still can't get over how gorgeous the white sand and the sparkling blue water are! We stopped at Johnny Rockets for lunch, and topped it off with ice cream and salt water taffy from a sweet shop on the beach.

2. Halo Top ice cream

Nursing hunger is REAL, and often leaves me wanting to snack late at night. Imagine my delight when I stopped at a Target in St. Augustine and found that they actually carried Halo Top ice cream! Now that I know where to find it, you can expect my freezer to always be stocked with the good stuff. So excited to indulge in ice cream guilt free! I tried the birthday cake flavor, and was surprised by how creamy it was! I'm trying mint chocolate chip next. What's your favorite Halo Top flavor?

3. Fawn + Sage swaddle sacks

My sisters gifted us this adorable swaddle sack from Fawn + Sage, and I can't get over how sweet it is for our baby boy! It's so easy to pull on the baby, and the matching hat is too cute. Lewis still has a bit of space to grow into this, so we can enjoy it for a few more months!

4. Bedtime Belly Buster

I've been adding this protein-packed drink before bed most nights, and love the results I've been seeing. I'm actually giving away a 2 week supply tonight on my Facebook page, so feel free to enter (just comment on the picture!) if you're interested in giving it a try!  We'll be running a 2 week flat belly challenge group to go along with this, and this postpartum mama could use the motivation and accountability!
