30 fun things to do while I'm 30 years old

My word for 2018 is FUN! I want to find the playful side of whatever I'm doing, from my health and wellness business, to writing, to working out, to my marriage and hanging out with my kids. So often we get stuck focusing on what is mundane or what is lacking from our life that we forget to notice the little moments we could be enjoying.

October Favorites

Happy November! Hope everyone had a fun week celebrating Reformation (it's a Lutheran thing)/Halloween/All Saints Day/Día de los Muertos or any other celebration that I missed.

It's been a hot second since I've written any posts for the ol' blog. Baby Lewis hasn't been sleeping much, so I try to go to bed shortly after he falls asleep at night. This cuts down drastically on my work time, and nap times (when I can get the boys' naps to synch) are spent helping people get started on their nutritional rebalancing systems or working on freelance writing.

the transition from two to three kids

If you were to poll a group of moms about what the toughest transition was for their family, I'm confident each women would give a different answer, or at least a different reasoning for their answer. hi from "vacation"

Well, it's been awfully quiet on the blog front, and for good reason! We've been on vacation visiting family for the last week and a half. Of course, vacation with children is not really a vacation, is it? We're doing all the same parenting, just in a place without all the comforts and familiarity of being at home!

state of the family // june 2017

And just like that, half of 2017 has come and gone. So much has changed since our last family update, mainly the addition of a third child! We're starting to adjust to being a family of five, now that Lewis is 2 months old. The past 2 years have been a wild ride - we moved across the country, added Teddy to the family, started new jobs, got pregnant with Lewis, and traveled quite a bit in between. I'm looking forward to some continuity and normalcy for the next few months at least! Anyway, here's what we've all been up to the past few months...

pippa's 4th birthday

Happy fourth birthday, Pippa! You have grown so much over the past year in more than one sense of the word. Yes, you are taller and lankier, with gangly legs that go on for days. But you have also become so mature, and you're the most caring little girl. You notice the emotions of those around you, and won't stop until you've put a smile on everyone's face. When I wasn't feeling well while pregnant, or recovering from having a baby this year, you would tuck me in bed with a tender kiss on the forehead.
