Happy Friday guys! We made it! It's been a long week getting back into a routine after Hurricane Irma threw all of Florida for a loop last week. Our kids were acting extra crazy, and I felt one step behind all week since we had no internet last week, and therefore I got no work done.

This week has been very routine and average in our neck of the woods, and I wouldn't have it any other way. The kids and I have been enjoying our slow mornings together at home, though we really are looking forward to the weather cooling off a tiny bit so we can play outside. But other than that, I feel like we're in a sweet spot right now with Pippa enjoying preschool, Teddy loving his afternoons home with mommy, Lewis continuing to be the world's happiest baby, and me savoring the long afternoon naps the boys are currently coordinating on. So much to be thankful for!

I'm already brainstorming ways to get out of the house with my kids during the week, since I'll be home with them a lot more. We used to have one of us (usually me) go grocery shopping on Saturdays while the other stayed home with the kids. However, I'm considering switching grocery shopping to Mondays and dragging all 3 kids with me, so that we can enjoy some family time on Saturdays. How does everyone else do it?

An 18+ hour drive to Wisconsin and back, preparing lesson plans for the upcoming school year, a birthday celebration, and just generally getting into the rhythm of caring for three children ages 4 and under have made the summer absolutely fly by.

Read MoreOur summer break is off to a great start! My sister Abby flew down to visit us for Memorial Day Weekend, and we spent a good portion of her time here at the beach. The kids soaked in the extra attention, and I enjoyed plenty of sister time!
Read MoreToday's Friday Favorites is short and sweet! I've taken the week off from blogging, mainly because the lack of sleep associated with having a newborn has really hit me hard this week. Every time I sit down to work, I feel a strong urge to close my eyes and rest, so I've been listening to my body and getting sleep when I can! The good news is that Baby Lewis's sleeping patterns are improving - we're now getting 3-3 1/2 hour stretches in between feedings at night! There is hope!

I love not having to be anywhere at a specific time most days, and if we don't feel up to leaving the house we don't have to.

The kids and I have been laying low this week, since I've been experiencing some end-of-pregnancy fatigue and discomfort. I've actually kind of loved our quiet mornings putting together puzzles, baking banana bread, and attempting to go for walks but turning back after 1/2 mile.
