Monumental day in Florida! We brought out the bear ears hoodie since the high is “only” 76° 🌬
Also...drool. Come quickly, little tooth trying to poke through!
Target had new flavors. The obsession continues. What’s your favorite Halo Top flavor?
I've been getting some questions lately about what I do, so I thought I would share a little about it here.
I work with moms who are looking to improve their lives physically and financially.
Physically, they have previously been frustrated with trying all kinds of diets that didn't work. Often, they have very little extra time to get to the gym or completely revamp their cooking and eating habits, since life with young children can be all consuming.
Many of these women stay home in some capacity, and are looking for a little something they can do to contribute to the budget. Maybe it's extra money for Christmas or student loans. I have built my business almost entirely on social media, so I offer specific training for moms who want to leverage their time using the internet. They also find a community of supportive moms in a world where motherhood can be so lonely.
The people who succeed in this business love other people, and love the life-changing products that have improved the health of so many.
I love what I do, and I love the women I get the privilege of working with every day. Sounds like something you'd like? I'm setting up appointments for this week - let's chat!
With the baby not napping or sleeping much at night, I’ve had to cut back on my commitments to make room for the essentials. I’ve had to give up the notion that I need hour-long blocks of time to get things done. It’s amazing what can be accomplished in 5 minute chunks of you’re focused!⠀
Really digging this planner, to-do lists, and post-its on my wall to keep me on track in blogging, freelancing, and growing my health and wellness business. Parents, what are your secret weapons for being productive?
We’ve been stop-drop-and-rolling since fire safety day at the library yesterday. Also, Teddy hasn’t taken off that hat for like 24 hours.
Real life: sometimes you have to squeeze in a workout while your kids play in the park and baby naps in the stroller. 3 rounds of stair runs, incline push-ups, triceps dips, explosive step-ups, and calf raises worked up a nice sweat! It’s so easy to make excuses about why I can’t fit a workout in, but I know how much better I feel, how much stronger, how much happier when I make it a priority. My kids are my motivation, not my excuse!
Muggy rainy days call for tropical green smoothies. In my email newsletter today I wrote about how I set a huge goal, worked my butt off, got really close, and FAILED. And honestly? I’m feeling surprisingly good about it. There’s so much to gain from shifting our perspective from defeat to gratitude. (Link in bio if you want in on my Monday Morning newsletters!)
What’s got two thumbs, is bald, adorable, and waking up his parents 55,000x/night because he’s teething? This guy 👍🏼👍🏼
S I M P L I F Y // Lately I’ve been feeling overwhelmed in motherhood. I think so often for moms, our roles are undefined, and it’s difficult to know where to turn our attention. We’re home with the kids, we’re managing a side hustle, we’re working part time, we’re running a household, but we’re not focused on one specific thing. We’re living in the messiness and grace and sacrifice of motherhood. That’s why lately I’ve been clearing the mental and physical clutter and simplifying everything. In this season of mothering young kids I’m more thankful than ever for the simplicity of a balanced meal in a cup. No cooking cleaning or chopping. No decision making. Just solid nutrition to fuel my body and mind. All mamas need this.
This 2 year old has been testing boundaries left and right, but why does he have to look so dang cute doing it? Makes it really hard to discipline with a straight face.
I snapped this picture last week when the kids were all playing together peacefully. My heart was filled with so much contentment, and I wanted to remember it.
This week has been one of my tougher weeks of parenthood. Nighttime potty training, 2 year old rebellion, and a sick, non-napping baby have all converged on us at once. I've been puked on and pooped on. I drove 35 minutes to the pediatrician for them to tell me Lewis just has a cold (I mean that's good news, just felt kind of silly). Teddy is going through a hitting/throwing/hair-pulling/running away/saying no phase. Pippa has the scars to prove it. Teddy got a goose egg from a running around the house incident gone wrong.
It's all been emotionally draining.
It's also been such a bad week that it's almost comical. What else can you do but laugh when your baby throws up all over the library and the librarian hands you three paper towels to clean it up yourself while you're wearing aforementioned baby and your 2 year old is running away with a triceratops book?
So yeah. Parenthood is fulfilling, hard, emotional, messy, gross, and wonderful. Nothing has humbled me more or made me realize my need for God more.
If you saw too many highlight reel photos this week, and felt like you weren't measuring up as a parent, maybe this will make you feel better about yourself. At the very least, maybe it will give you a laugh at the image of me trying to clean up puke in the non-fiction section of the library with a baby strapped to my chest, a puddle of puke in my sandal, and Teddy laughing maniacally.

QUESTION: What's your favorite way to occupy your kids while you work out?
MY ANSWER: I try to involve them and let them work out with me. They do get underfoot a bit, but mostly we have a blast together!
Happy 5 months, Lewis! You're still the happiest baby despite the swollen gums, cold, and cough.
We made it through the 4 month sleep regression! You're back to waking up once per night (thank goodness). You're trying so hard to sit up on your own, and love to see what your brother and sister are doing! Your hands are constantly in your mouth, and your feet are your new favorite toy. Love you, buddy!
This is what handsome looks like.
Squishing him with all her love. He seems unfazed. 💕
#ad Ohhh my. It's been quite the process to get Lewis to take a bottle. We've finally figured out which bottle he loves, and with a little practice he's finally doing it! Head over to my blog for some awesome tips for getting a breastfed baby to take a bottle! #simplybonding #collectivebias
