When I first became a mom I was so worried that motherhood would become my whole identity. That people would forget that I’m my own person with dreams and talents and preferences. Now as a mother of three, I’m more confident in my role as a mom, and I love showing my kids all of the other things I love to do - writing, teaching, exercising, and traveling.
@babyation gets that just because we’re moms, it doesn’t mean we lose our identity. They have developed a sleek and discreet breast pump that lets you be a mom on your own terms. Registration is open for this new pump so you can get yours as soon as it’s released! Check out the link in my bio for more info!

This stage of life is the hardest to dress for- the months after having a baby. Clothes must be nursing-friendly, flattering on a body that has no idea what size or shape it wants to be, and OF COURSE comfortable. My thoughts on having a momiform during this hard-to-dress-for season on the blog. Link in bio!
The Mom Lunch Dilemma: “What can I make that’s easy, quick, healthy, and delicious?” Solved.
My princess is loving her new dress up clothes!
Who else is curling up with some popcorn and streaming cheesy Christmas movies on repeat after the kids are in bed? It’s called living your best holiday life. Get on board.
We cut the cable cord a long time ago, and I don’t miss it one bit! If you’re thinking of taking the plunge, Hulu has been a great replacement for cable. If you click the link in my bio, you can sign up for Hulu for $5.99/month AND get a $20 Amazon gift card. Happy streaming!

Life is a little different now than it was when I was growing up in Wisconsin. “Cold” is 65°. We get to walk on the beach in December. But the saddest difference is that we won’t be with family for Christmas this year...for the very first time. Thankful for all the visits from our parents and siblings, FaceTime, and packages in the mail so we don’t feel so far removed!
Rejoice in the Lord always.
Even when your 7 month old literally didn't sleep at all.
We're thinking teething or earache, since he would doze off, then wake up screaming as soon as we set him down. So we took hourly shifts snuggling him upright on the couch.
But there is always something to rejoice about. Coffee. Devotions at home. Coffee. Christmas decorations. Having a husband willing to take the nighttime shifts with me. Also, coffee.
I will say it again. Rejoice!
And cheers to better sleep tonight!
This @lillebaby goes with my everywhere and makes my life so much easier when I’m out and about with three little ones. (No back pain!) It’s on sale this Black Friday, along with some of my other favorite things. Link in bio!
For Lewis’s first Thanksgiving he chose a tuxedo t-shirt because it says he’s formal, but he’s here to party.
When @arcticzero sends you some sweet treats, your kids just love you a little more. Our favorites were the Cake Batter Bars and the Peanut Butter Swirl ice cream. This mama loved how high in protein and low in sugar their treats were! #sponsored
Superhero Teddy- keeping the streets of Savannah safe and fighting bad guys.
Two-year-old boys. They are at once magical and impossible. Sweet and terrifying. Snuggly and energetic. I grew up with 5 sisters and no brothers, so I had no idea what to expect when I found out my second child was a boy.
Being a mom to a little boy has been one of the most amazing and exhausting experiences of my life. I look at him eating his breakfast cereal with chubby hands and milk dribbling down his chin and I can’t help but see him as a six-foot-tall football player eating me out of house and home.
So I’m treasuring this chapter in our lives. This season where he still clings to my legs in public and asks, “Mommy, carry you?” Where he tells me every day how he was scared of the kids in the masks at Halloween. Soon enough he’ll be towering over me...but for now I get to soak up the snuggles.
Take me back to Savannah! I’ve been trying to push myself to do more day trips and travel with the kids, and it’s been so challenging and so rewarding. Low expectations is the name of the game, people. That and a comfortable and cute momiform 💕
After having my second baby, I lost all my baby weight...but could not get rid of the baby belly no matter what I did! This time around I’m using the @mutusystem to help my body look and feel better by healing my diastasis recti from the inside out. Check out my final review on the blog! Link in bio.
We had a sweet start to our day in Jacksonville! Donuts, market, and zoo for the win. All three kids were asleep within minutes on the way home- that’s how you know it was a good day!
Finally starting to fit AND feel comfortable in my pre-pregnancy clothes. I really look forward to being able to wear whatever I want when I’m done nursing and my body is my own again, BUT it is sometimes nice to only have a few options. Oversized v-neck tees have been the name of the game! What’s your uniform lately?
These days if a workout is going to happen, it’s going to be a family affair. #hhtribe
